Summary
The Glassy Carbon Electrode (GCE) was used for the determination of platinum traces in synthetic solutions by stripping voltammetry. Best results were obtained with a acetic acid buffer supporting electrolyte containing 9.3 mg KCl/ml and 1 mg Cd/ml. At pH 4 0.04 μg Pt/ml can be determined after preconcentration for 5 min at a constant potential of −0.656 V.
