Summary
The dependence of the relative standard deviation (RSD) on the number of cells connected in series in the CCS potentiometric method [1] is discussed in detail. An example concerns the determination of Cu2+ ions with the use of the copper ion-selective electrode. Four cells have been applied. A significant decrease in RSD has been obtained as compared with conventional single cell potentiometry.
