Synthesis of nitrophenyl derivatives of 1,3,4-oxadiazole

Abstract

Acylation of nitrobenzhydrazides with nitrobenzoyl chlorides and ethyl chlorocarbonate yielded a number of corresponding 1,2-diacylhydrazines, which were converted by the action of phosphorus oxychloride to nitro-substituted 2,5-diphenyl- and 2-phenyl-5-ethoxy-1, 3,4-oxidazoles.
