Abstract
A number of organomercury derivatives of N-alkyland N-arylimines of 2-and 3-hydroxy-(mercapto) formylbenzo[b]furans and 2- and 3-hydroxy(mercapto)formylbenzo[b]thiophenes were synthesized. A conclusion regarding the position of the C6H5Hg group in these compounds was drawn from the vibrational and electronic absorption spectra.
