9-alkenylcarbazoles. 13. Trifluoroacetylation of trans- and cis-9-alkenylcarbazoles

Abstract

The trifluoroacetylation of 9-alkenylcarbazoles in pyridine takes place regio- and stereospecifically with the formation of the Β-trifluoroacetyl derivatives. The cis isomers are inert to trifluoroacetic anhydride.
