Abstract
By the catalytic hydrogenation (5% of Rh on Al2O3) of orotic acid and its derivatives, DL-4,5-dihydroorotic and DL-1-methyl- and DL-1,3-dimethyldihydroorotic acids have been obtained. A number of salts of DL-4,5-dihydroorotic acid with amines have been synthesized.
