XXI. Cyclization of halogenophenyldiindanedionylmethanes

Abstract

The cyclization of halogenophenyldiindanedionylmethanes to the corresponding halogenophenyldibenzoylenepyrans and dibenzoylenedihydropyridines is investigated. The latter are readily oxidized to dibenzoylenepyridines.
