Abstract
It is shown that 2,4-bis(dialkylamino)benzothiazole-6,7-quinones are formed by the oxidation of 6-hydroxybenzothiazole in the presence of a Cu2+-secondary amine complex. The mechanism of the formation of the compounds obtained is discussed.
