Abstract

The transformations (acylation, condensation with aldehydes, and diazotization) of 7- and 3-amino-5-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-ones are examined. It is shown that the action of P2S5 on 3-acetamidobenzodiazepinone leads to replacement of the oxygen atom of the acetyl group by a sulfur atom. The polarographic reduction of 7-arylideneamino-5-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-ones was studied.
