Abstract
A new method for the preparation of γ-(3-benzoxazolonyl) butyric acids from sodium salts of benzoxazolones and γ-butyrolactone was developed. 3-[ω-(2-benzimidazolyl)alkyl]benzoxazolones were synthesized by the reaction of these acids and also (3-benzoxazolonyl)acetic and β-(3-benzoxazolonyl)propionic acids with o-phenylenediamine.
