Abstract
3-Nitro-4-acetamidobenzyl bromide, from which 2,4-dimethyl-7-N-bis(β-chloroethyl)aminomethyl-1, 5-benzodiazepine was synthesized, was obtained by the bromination of 3-nitro-4-acetamidotoluene.
