Balloon embolization of the sphenopalatine artery in a case of a juvenile angiofibroma

Summary

In a case of juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma a peroperative transarterial embolization of the main feeding artery was used to minimize blood loss during surgery. Embolization and surgical technique as well as morphological tumor aspects are discussed.
