Summary

The mechanism of pantocain-influence on the inner ear is not known. Measurements of ionic concentration, of oxygen partial pressure and of DC-potentials within the inner ear fluids were done after intratympanally applied pantocain. The results are discussed in relation to electronmicroscopic alterations.
