Summary
A new method of mass spectrometric analysis of mixtures containing gases of nearly the same molecular weight is described. The method is based on differences exhibited by the ionization efficiency curves of the gases in question and requires a procedure of measurement and calculation analogous to that of the conventional mass spectrometric analysis. To show the applicability and accuracy of the method data of measurement on CO-N2 mixtures are presented.
