Zusammenfassung
Die enzymatische Aktivität des Coeruloplasmins wurde als Polyphenoloxydase mit p-Phenylendiamin als Substrat im optischen Test an gesunden Kindern verschiedener Altersklassen untersucht. Die niedrigsten Aktivitäten wurden bei Neugeborenen gefunden. Im Verlauf der Entwicklung gesunder Säuglinge steigt die Aktivität des Coeruloplasmins kontinuierlich an, bis sie im 4. Trimenon die Normalwerte des Erwachsenenalters erreicht. In späteren Altersklassen sind keine signifikanten Differenzen mehr nachweisbar. Einige biochemische Eigenschaften der Oxydase des Plasmas werden näher umrissen und die besondere Situation des Coeruloplasminhaushaltes des Neugeborenen und des jungen Säuglings wird ausführlich diskutiert.
