Histologische und histochemische Untersuchungen zur Ototoxizität des Gentamicins, Tobramycins und Amikacins
Histological and histochemical tests on the ototoxicity of gentamicin, tobramycin and amikacin
The histological investigations in the guinea pig take into consideration: the hair cell degeneration pattern observed after administration of these aminoglycoside antibiotics; the effectiveness of a prophylaxis of the Ototoxicity by 2,3-dimercaptopropanol and the division of the daily dosage respectively; the Ototoxicity of these aminoglycoside antibiotics in children; the influence of otitis media on this Ototoxicity; the question of late Ototoxicity of these antibiotics; the problem of a potentiation of the ototoxicity of these antibiotics by uremia and diuretics and comparative tests concerning the ototoxicity of these antibiotics.
By histochemical investigations the influence of these antibiotics on acid phosphatase, alcaline phosphatase and the nonspecific esterases of the inner ear of guinea pigs is studied.
