Summary
The horizontal laryngectomy with immediate reconstruction is indicated even in relatively extensive intrinsic cancers of the larynx. Thyroid and cricoid cartilages and their adherent organs are removed. The trachea is then sutured to the epiglottis and the hyoid bone. The patients are able to speak and to swallow spontaneously after this operation. We could not decannulate our cases.
Zusammenfassung
Die horizontale Laryngektomie mit sofortigem Wiederaufbau ist selbst bei ausgedehnten inneren Kehlkopf-Carcinomen noch indiziert. Schildknorpel und Ringknorpel werden zusammen mit den Organen entfernt, die sie umschließen (Taschenbänder, Stimmbänder, Aryknorpel). Die Trachea wird dann an die Epiglottis und das Zungenbein genäht. Die Patienten können später spontan sprechen und schlucken. Wir konnten unsere Fälle nicht dekanülieren (Sprechkanüle).
