Abstract

With few exceptions, planning on the various local and regional levels has been based exclusively on economic and/or social factors. Effective inclusion of natural conditions—water, terrain, soil, flora, fauna, climate—in the process of planning is a new challenge in the realm of local, city, and regional projection and planning.
