Summary
In childhood, fracture of the neck of the radius is rather common. Generally the fracture is localized in the metaphysis, sometimes with involvement of the epiphysis. Marginal sector fractures, which are common in adults, are very rare. Different types of fractures, indications for surgical treatment, therapeutic procedures, and results are discussed.

Der Radiushalsbruch ist eine häufige Frakturform des Kindes. Meistens handelt es sich um metaphysäre Frakturen, manchmal mit einer Epiphysenverletzung. Nur selten wird eine Meißelfraktur beobachtet, wie es bei Erwachsenen oft der Fall ist. Die verschiedenen Frakturtypen, Indikationen für operative Therapie, therapeutische Alternativen und Ergebnisse werden diskutiert.
