Summary

Tobacco chloroplast 4.5S RNA hybridized specifically to the 1.16 × 106 dalton Eco RI fragment of broad bean chloroplast DNA. This indicates the existence of the gene for 4.5S RNA in broad bean chloroplasts which have been reported to lack 4.5S-size RNA.
