Authors review 1360 lower limb amputations for ischemic gangrene. The incidence of post-operative malignant edema of the stump was found to be 0.2 to 0.4%, and the distribution was favourable to encourage amputating surgeons to choose possibly distal levels even in case of vascular disease.
Zusammenfassung
Die Autoren berichten über 1360 wegen ischämischem Gangrän durchgeführte Amputationen der unteren Gliedmaßen. Die Häuftgkeit des postoperativen Gasödems des Stumpfes lag zwischen 0,2 and 0,4%. Die Verteilung der Gasödemfälle in verschiedene Amputationsniveaus berechtigt die amputierenden Chirurgen auch bei Gefäpatienten möglichst distale Niveaus zu wählen.
