Summary

Serolis luethjei n.sp. is described from the Weddell Sea. The new species is closely related to S. gerlachei Monod 1925 and S. johnstoni Hale 1952. Specimens kept in aquaria did neither burrow in fine sand or mud nor swim with their pleopods but only walked on the tips of their pereopods.
