Summary
The concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in photoassimilating organisms is very small (in ppb-range). It can only be determined after separation of accompanying polar components and the saturated hydrocarbons, among others by fluorescence spectrometry. Obviously the PCA content increases in the sample during wilting and subsequent aging of the leaves.
Zusammenfassung
Die Konzentration von polycyclischen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen (PCA) in photoassimilierenden Organismen ist sehr gering (ppb-Bereich). Sie kann analytisch nur nach dem Abtrennen der polaren Begleitstoffe und der gesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffe bestimmt werden, und zwar u.a. mit Hilfe der Fluorescenzspektroskopie. Beim Verwelken der Blätter sowie dem nachfolgenden Altern steigt offensichtlich der PCA-Gehalt im Probengut an.
