Zusammenfassung
Das Aushungern der Hefezellen in Aq. deion. führt zu einer “Gleichschaltung” gewisser physiologischer Prozesse. Trotz asynchroner Sprossung erfolgt eine rhythmische Abnahme der Acridinorange-Toxicität sowie eine gehäufte Entwicklung atmungsdefekter Mutanten zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt.
Summary
Starvation of yeast cells in aq. deion. tends to “synchronize” some physiological processes. In spite of an asynchronous budding there follows a rhythmic decrease in acridine organge toxicity and a single maximum in the development of respiration deficient mutants.
