Zusammenfassung
Über die Dialyse und Ultrafiltration von Bilirubin werden in der Literatur einander widersprechende Befunde mitgeteilt. Die eigenen Untersuchungen ergaben, daß indirektes Bilirubin aus eiweißfreier Lösung, jedoch nicht in Gegenwart von Albumin, semipermeable Membranen passiert. Daran ändert sich auch nichts, wenn Solu-Supronal dem bilirubinhaltigen Albumin oder Serum zugesetzt wird; Decholin, in hoher Konzentration der eiweißhaltigen Bilirubinlösung zugegeben, führt dagegen sowohl zu einer Dialyse als auch zu einer Ultrafiltration des Bilirubins. Von beiden Medikamenten ist bekannt, daß sie das Bilirubin aus der Eiweißbindung verdrängen. Eine Dialyse oder Ultrafiltration des Bilirubins ist aber offenbar nur möglich, wenn mit der Spaltung des Pigment-Albuminkomplexes eine Verbesserung der Löslichkeit des Gallenfarbstoffs verbunden ist. Diese Voraussetzungen sind beim Solu-Supronal nicht gegeben, wohl aber beim Decholin. Vergleiche mit dem Mechanismus der Bilirubinurie drängen sich auf; darüber wird an anderer Stelle berichtet.
