Zusammenfassung
-
1.
Summary
In 66 healthy infants and children the normal values of histamine excreated in the urine in 24 hours were 0.15–0.61 μg/kg of free and 0.55–2.80 μg/kg of conjugated histamine. Only the urinary excretion of conjugated histamine is increased with growing age.
In the blood of these children the normal values of histamine were 0.015 μg–0,085 μg/ml, not depending on age. Most of the histamine in the blood of healthy infants and children is associated with the basophils. The plasma contains more or less no histamine.
In the cord-blood of newborns and prematures the amount of the plasma-free-histamine was increased shortly after birth. The granulocytes of the prematures contained less histamine than those of the newborns.
