Summary
34 joung rats were subjected to three attacks of nitrogen anoxia and then reanimated in oxygen. ATP accelerated recovery and the fall in excess blood lactate level. In asphyxiated newborn infant ATP application also reduced the level of ballast excess lactate in blood. The protective effect of ATP during resuscitation of asphyctic infants by oxygen insufflation is stressed.
