Summary
The light and electron microscope examination of the recto externo of two patients with ophthalmoplegia congenital externo total respectively subtotal resulted no independent muscular affection. The examined muscular fibres near the insertion are more voluminous than by the patients for medical control. The dissatified or relieved motility of the bulbus must be explained of nuclear or supranuclear innervation disturbances.
