Summary

A recessive nuclear mutation, sorb -, which determines the ability for lysis of the osmotic dependent Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant VY1160 has been mapped on the right arm of chromosome I. sorb - is not centromere linked and is approximately 31 recombination units from ade1.
