Summary
28 cases of arthrodesis of the knee-joint performed during a 3 years period are reviewed. Main indications for this procedure were degenerative, rheumatoid and posttraumatic arthrosis of the knee joint. The Charnley compression arthrodesis was the preferred method. In bilateral rheumatoid arthritis the arthrodesis was combined with a high osteotomy of the contralateral tibia or replacement of the contralateral knee joint.
Zusammenfassung
Von 1968 bis 1971 wurden an der Münchner Orthopädischen Universitätsklinik insgesamt 28 Kniegelenke arthrodesiert. In der Indikationsliste überwogen Arthrosen degenerativer, rheumatischer und posttraumatischer Pathogenese. Bevorzugtes Verfahren war die Kompressionsarthrodese nach Charnley. Bei doppelseitigem rheumatischem Gelenksbefall wurde der Eingriff mit Pendelosteotomie oder Alloarthroplastik des gegenseitigen Gelenkes kombiniert. Zwei kniegelenksnahe Riesenzelltumoren konnten in Verbindung mit der Arthrodese durch einen langen Marknagel ausgiebig reserziert werden. Eine kniegelenksnahe Pseudarthrose bei erheblicher Osteoporose wurde durch die Verwendung einer überlangen AO-Platte stabilisiert. Angestrebtes Ziel der beschriebenen Operationstechniken ist die weitgehende Rehabilitierung der Patienten.
