Summary

250 corrective operations using the Harrington implants have been performed. 160 served as a basis for the evaluation of the neurological risks, particulary the risks of spinal cord lesions. The intra- and postoperative damage has been analyzed. The results and therapeutic conclusions are recorded.

Zusammenfassung

An Hand von über 250 korrigierenden Operationen mit den Harrington-Implantaten, von denen die ersten 160 eine Auswertung erfuhren, wird über das neurologische Risiko, insbesondere das Risiko einer Rückenmarksläsion berichtet. Die einzelnen intra- und postoperativ aufgetretenen Schädigungen werden analysiert. Die hieraus gewonnenen Erkenntnisse für therapeutische Schlußfolgerungen werden mitgeteilt.
