Die Behandlung nicht frischer Oberschenkelfrakturen mit dem Distraktionsapparat nach Wagner

Summary

The surgical orthopaedic treatment of new fractures of the femur has been standardized by the proceed of Küntscher and the AO technique. In cases of multiple injured patients the immediate care can not be done, out of reasone other forward treatments; although a quite severe postponement of the fracture parts will occure. In this rare cases the application in a Wagner-distraction gear has been approved, which results in a correction of fracture-positiones as well as in a equalization of length of the legs. We report of 2 of these extraordinary cases.

Zusammenfassung

Die Demonstration zweier Fälle von Oberschenkelfrakturen, die durch zahlreiche andere Verletzungen und die verspätete Behandlungsmöglichkeit kompliziert waren, läßt erkennen, daß im Einzelfall moderne Methoden der klassischen Orthopädie auch in der orthopädischen Traumatologie sinnvoll und erfolgreich Anwendung finden können.
