Über die Patellektomie und ihre Spätergebnisse

Summary

Of 30 patients who underwent patellectomy 23 were operated because of a patella-fracture. The comparison of X-rays taken before operation with those taken during this study showed an increasing Arthrosis of the Tibio-Femoral-Joint in 33 per cent. In the Femoro-Patellar-Joint we found an increase in only 17 per cent. In the case of the patellafracture the functional results were excellent, when the patellectomy was performed within the first 3 weeks.

Résumé

De 30 patellectomies recherchées l'indication était à 23 malades fracture de rotule brisé. La comparaison entre les radiographies avant l'intervention chirurgicale et celles-là, envoyées pour l'exploration prèsent, fesait voir progrès d'arthrose d'articulation tibiafémoral à 33 pour-cent des malades. Le progrès d'arthrose de l'articulation fémoral-patellaire était observé seulment à 17 pour-cent des malades. — Les résultats fonctionnels à l'égard de l'énergie musculaire, de mobilité actif, d'absence des plaintes etc. étaient éclatants au cas que les malades avec fracture de rotule écrasé étaient operés dans l'espace de 3 semaines après l'accident.

Zusammenfassung

Von 30 nachuntersuchten Patienten mit einer Patellektomie war 23mal die Indikation wegen einer Patellatrümmerfraktur gestellt worden. Der Vergleich der präoperativen Röntgenbilder mit den während der Nachuntersuchung angefertigten zeigte bei 33% eine zunehmende Arthrose im Tibiofemoralgelenk, während im Femoropatellargelenk nur 17% eine Zunahme arthrotischer Veränderungen erkennen ließen. Bei den Patellatrümmerbrüchen waren die funktionellen Ergebnisse immer dann ausgezeichnet, wenn die Patellektomie innerhalb der ersten 3 Wochen nach dem Unfall zur Durchführung kam.
