Summary

From a logical basis, it is reasonable to postulate that a synovectomy must be maximally as complete as possible. The indications and operative technique of radical synovectomy of the dorsal part of the knee joint are presented. The statistically significant improvement of the results of knee synovectomy by an additional dorsal approach ist refered to.

Zusammenfassung

Die logische Forderung einer möglichst vollständigen Gelenksynovektomie wird begründet. Indikation und Technik einer radikalen Synovektomie des dorsalen Kniegelenksabschnittes werden dargestellt. Es wird auf die statistisch gesicherte Verbesserung der Erfolgschancen der Kniegelenkssynovektomie durch einen zusätzlichen dorsalen Eingriff hingewiesen.
