Summary
This is a report on the validity of treatment of coxa magna hips resulting from Legg-Calvé-Perthes-disease or hip dislocation by Chiari's pelvic osteotomy. Only severely deformed, incongruous and subluxated hips were treated by this operation. The aim of treatment is the development of congruency with a well covered femoral head to prevent an early occurrence of osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Our results were compared with the results of nonoperative treatment of comparable patient groups.
Zusammenfassung
An einem Krankengut von 17 Patienten mit Morbus Perthes und Luxationsperthes werden Frühergebnisse nach Chiari-Beckenosteotomie vorgestellt. Es handelt sich um ein homogenes Patientengut mit schwer deformierten und subluxierten Köpfen. Ziel der Behandlung ist die Erreichung einer bestmöglichen Kongruenz und Überdachung des Hüftkopfes durch Beckenosteotomie eventuell kombiniert mit intertrochantärer Osteotomie, um auf diese Weise das Entstehen einer frühzeitig auftretenden Coxarthrose zu verhindern. Unsere Ergebnisse werden jenen eines vergleichbaren, konservativ behandelten Patientengutes gegenübergestellt und diskutiert.
