The determination of genuine and incorporated urea in the blood, anterior chamber, and vitreous cavity of rabbits makes it possible to prove the response of the involved eye as well as that of the fellow eye to localized diathermy or cryo-coagulations. The course of the reaction depends on the nature of the lesions. The sympathetic irritation of the fellow eye shows temporally and topographically the same-behaviour pattern.

Zusammenfassung

Durch Bestimmung von natürlicher und zugeführter Urea in Blut, Vorderkammer und Glaskörperraum des Kaninchens ist es möglich, die Antwort des geschädigten Auges sowie die des Partnerauges auf lokalisierte Eingriffe — Diathermie- und Kryocoagulationen — nachzuweisen. Die Art des Eingriffes erweist sich als maßgebend für den Reaktionsablauf. Die sympathische Irritation des Partnerauges zeigt dabei zeitlich und topographisch das gleiche Reaktionsmuster.
