Summary
In 200 normal eyes and 224 eyes with incipient simple chronic glaucoma, the tonography after Grant was performed. The intraocular pressure (P 0) did not exceed the level of 26 mm Hg at the examination. In the glaucomatous eyes the resistance to aqueous outflow (1/C) was in 33.0% of the cases 8 mmHg/ mm3/min or more and pathologic and the P 0/C-ratio in 58.0% of the cases 140 or more and pathologic, while after the two dimensional treatment of the intraocular pressure and of the outflow resistance 59.4% of the cases was pathologic. If one took into consideration the last two criteria, the reliability of the test could be improved to 67.9%.
Zusammenfassung
200 Normalaugen und 224 Augen mit beginnendem Glaucoma chronicum simplex wurden tonographisch untersucht. Während nach dem Kammerwasserabflußwert allein 33,0% der Glaukomfälle diagnostiziert wurde, zeigte sich nach dem Quotienten von intraocularem Druck und Abflußwert (P 0/C) 58,0% der Fälle und nach der zweidimensionalen Ellipse für Abflußwert und intraocularem Druck 59,4% der Fälle ein pathologischer Wert. Wenn man die letzten beiden Kriterien gleichzeitig berücksichtigte, so konnte die diagnostische Ergiebigkeit auf 67,9% erhöht werden.
