Disturbances of colour distinction induced by the Kukáns ophthalmodynamometer

Summary

The circulation of the retina was decreased by the Kukán's ophthalmodynamometer and in this way a local hypoxia of the retina was obtained.

In the second to third minute of the hypoxia some of the normal trichromatic subjects mistake transitorily the colours. This phenomen differs in extent, and the anomalous quotient shifts in the protanomalous direction.

Zusammenfassung

Mittels des Kukánschen Ophthalmodynamometers wurde eine Verminderung der retinalen Zirkulation und damit eine lokale Hypoxie erzeugt. An normalen Trichromaten war dadurch eine vorübergehende und in verschiedenen Graden auftretende Störung des Farbensinns in Richtung der Protanomalie zu erzielen.
