The behavior of the inner and outer corneal surface during applanation

Summary

Using a new procedure optical sections through corneal applanations of 2.0–6.6 mm diameter were photographed. Considering all findings of this study the diameter and the volume of the inner applanation was equal to those of the outer applanation.

Zusammenfassung

Mit eigens dafür erdachtem Verfahren wird die Beschaffenheit der Hornhautapplanationen von 2,0–6,6 mm Durchmesser im optischen Schnitt photographisch registriert und festgestellt, daß die Durchmesser und die Volumina der inneren und der äußeren Hornhautapplanation gleich groß sind.
