Summary
We may conclude from these experiments that 57 hours after drug administration (EDU) the viral multiplication is inhibited. At this time virus particles are found in the nucleus only, but not in the cytoplasm. At 157 hours of EDU therapy virus particles are absent, whereas at 178 hours without drug administration virus particles were observed in both the epithelium and the stroma.
