Summary

The different forms of experimental uveitis are mentioned with special reference to works done by different authors in the last 20 years. Further are discussed our own recent experiments with rats. After a single subcutaneous injection of adjuvant a great majority of the animals showed polyarthritis and a small number of them developped uveitis with all its clinical manifestations. Of the two different strains of tubercle bacilli used, only one has been prooved to be effective. In spite of a few modifications of the experiments conducted the results remained more or less the same.

The results of these experiments confirm those of Waksman in 1960.
