Junges Mycel von Collybia velutipes bildet bei normalem Wachstum auf geeigneten Nährmedien keine Laccase. Die Enzymsynthese kann jedoch durch die Einwirkung verschiedener Chemikalien, durch bestimmte Mikroorganismen sowie durch Nährstoffmangel induziert werden.

Es handelt sich um eine echte Induktion und nicht um eine adaptive Fermentbildung oder um Freisetzung intracellulärer Laccase.

Als besonders induktionskräftig hat sich Pentachlorphenol erwiesen. Seine Wirkung in wechselnden Kombinationen mit Asparagin und Glucose auf die Trockensubstanzproduktion und die Laccase-Synthese wurde quantitativ verfolgt.

Die Laccase-Bildung läßt such durch Asparagin nicht induzieren, wohl aber nachhaltig fördern, während Glucose eine schwach depressive Wirkung auf die Enzym-Ausscheidung hat.

Aus den als induktionswirksam befundenen Substanzen wird auf eine Beteiligung des Citronensäurecyclus an der Laccase-Synthese geschlossen.
