Summary
This paper describes fine corneal striae which were seen in 85% of the 200 subjects examined. The striae are commonly multiple and run parallel to each other in a vertical or near vertical direction in the region of Descemet's membrane. In older subjects some striae may develop into wrinkles in Descemet's membrane.
