Summary

The effect of three months of cholesterol feeding on the lipoid composition of the corneas of rabbits was examined by quantitative, chromatographical and histological methods. As a partial symptom of generalised atherosclerosis the lipids also increases in the corneas generally. As a significant change the appearance of cholesterol ester could also be demonstrated.
