Dependence of the dark adaptation on the diameter of the pupil

Summary

Investigations of dark adaptation performed in the medicamentously dilated pupil by means of the Hartinger-adaptometer are reported.

Bleaching of the retina by the preceding light adaptation phase was avoided by an aperture. It became evident that sensitivity to light in the dilated pupil was above normal values up to the 25th minute of dark adaptation.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über Untersuchungen der Dunkeladaptation am Hartinger-Adaptometer bei medikamentös erweiterter Pupille berichtet.

Durch eine Blende wurde eine stärkere Ausbleichung der Netzhaut in der der Untersuchung vorangegangenen Helladaptationsphase verhindert. Hierbei zeigte sich, daß die Empfindlichkeit bei erweiterter Pupille bis zur 25. min der Dunkeladaptation über den Normalwerten lag.
