Spektrophotometrische Untersuchungen zum Nachweis von Chromoproteinen und Bilirubin im Auge

Summary

Following intravenous injection we could demonstrate spectrophotometrically that in the rabbit chromo-proteins like hemoglobin and myoglobin as well as bilirubin are present in anterior chamber fluid, lens and vitreous body. We did not try yet to study the dynamics of these substances in relation to time and their quantitative distribution. Our findings, however, suggest a relationship between the concentration of these substances in the different parts of the eye and the serum. In lens, vitreous body and the anterior chamber fluid of patients dying with jaundice we also were able to demonstrate bilirubin spectrophotometrically.

Zusammenfassung

Am Kaninchen wurde durch spektralphotometrische Untersuchungen der Nachweis geführt, daß Chromoproteine wie Haemoglobin and Myoglobin sowie Bilirubin nach intravenöser Injektion der Substanzen bzw. beim Stauungsikterus die Blutkammerwasserschranke passieren können und hier sowohl als auch in Linse und Glaskörper auftreten. Nähere Studien zur zeitlichen Dynamik dieser Substanzen und zur quantitativen Verteilung wurden bisher nicht durchgeführt. Die Befunde deuten jedoch auf eine Abhängigkeit von der Serumkonzentration hin. In den untersuchten Augenabschnitten ikterischer Leichen konnte ebenfalls Bilirubin spektrophotometrisch nachgewiesen werden.
