Zusammenfassung

Es wird das pathologische und histopathologische Bild von systematisiert iuxtavenös gelegenen Grubenbildungen in der Netzhaut beschrieben, über denen die vitreoretinale Grenzschicht fehlt. Die Pathogenese dieser in ihrem ophthalmoskopischen Aspekt nicht bekannten Fundusveränderung wird diskutiert. Sie scheint nach den dargelegten Befunden ihre primäre Ursache in einer degenerativen, wahrscheinlich hyponutritiv bedingten Lückenbildung der paravasculären inneren Netzhaut zu haben, über der es sekundär durch Schwund der vitreo-retino-vasculären Adhärenzen zum Verlust der Limitans interna kommt.

Summary

A description is given of the pathological and histopathological picture presented by systematised juxtavenous pitting of the retina, one feature of which is absence of the vitreo-retinal demarcation layer over the pits. The pathogenesis of these eyeground changes, whose ophthalmoscopic appearance is unknown, is discussed. The findings presented suggest that they are due primarily to a degenerative condition — probably of hyponutritive origin — which gives rise in the inner paravascular retinal tissue to the formation of lacunae over which secondary loss of the Membrana limitans interna occurs owing to atrophy of the vitreo-retino-vascular adherences.
