Immuno-globulins of human tears in endogenous uveitis

Summary

50 patients with endogenous uveitis inclusive 12 patients with Eales' disease were checked for precense of immunoglobulin-G, -A and -M in tears.

The results are compared with control series of 40 normal patients. Significant increase Ig-G, certain decrease of Ig-A and changing levels of Ig-M could be demonstrated.

The interpretation of the results implies an important role of immunity conditions.

Zusammenfassung

50 Patienten mit endogenen Augenkrankheiten, davon 12 Patienten mit Periphlebitis retinae, wurden auf den Gehalt von Ig-G, Ig-A und Ig-M in der Tränenflüssigkeit untersucht. Die Ergebnisse wurden denen einer Kontrollgruppe von 40 Patienten gegenüber gestellt. Es wurden eine hochsignifikante Vermehrung von Ig-G, eine signifikante Erniedrigung von Ig-A und z.T. abweichende Werte bei den Ig-M nachgewiesen. Bei der Interpretation der Ergebnisse wird den Immunitätsverhältnissen eine entscheidende Rolle zugeordnet.
