Untersuchungen zur Bestimmung und Bewertung von Metamorphopsien

Summary

In the present research a method will be described which allowes for the first time a qualitative analysis of those metamorphoma and negative scotoma as they are found with the Amsler-Grid and the Spoke-Test. After illumination of the macula with the light of the ophthalmoscope can be demonstrated that metamorphoma and negative scotoma are overcoming spatial, temporal and gradual reversible modifications. These changes can be determined by a transformation of the static picture into a moving one. The metamorphoma can be decomposed into different components which are not equal one with another.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Methode beschrieben, die erstmalig eine qualitative Analyse jener Metamorphopsien und negativen Skotome erlaubt, wie sie mit dem Amsler-Netz und dem Speichen-Test gefunden werden. Nach Ausblendung der Macula mit dem Ophthalmoskop zeigt sich, daß Metamorphopsien und negative Skotome räumlich, zeitlich und graduell reversiblen Veränderungen unterliegen, die durch die Umsetzung des statischen Bildes in ein bewegtes Bild erfaßt werden können. Das metamorphoptische Bild kann dadurch in verschiedene Komponenten zerlegt werden, die untereinander nicht gleichwertig sind.
