Zusammenfassung
Die Fruktifikation von vier Stämmen des Kulturchampignons wird vom CO2-Gehalt der das Mycel umgebenden Luft beeinflußt. Bereits 0,10–0,15 Vol-% CO2 in der Luft verursachen eine Verzögerung der Fruktifikation und eine Reduktion der Fruchtkörperzahl. Mit steigenden CO2-Gehalten der Luft über der Deckerde verstärken sich die Symptome. Die Deckerde wird in steigendem Maße vom Mycel überwachsen, die Fruktifikation gehemmt. Im Bereich von 1,0–2,0 Vol-% CO2 sinkt die Zahl der gebildeten Fruchtkörper bis auf unter 1‰ im Vergleich zu der mit Frischluft behandelten Kontrolle.
Eine 24 stündige Belüftung mit Normalluft induziert die Fruktifikation. Einmal gebildete Anlagen können mit Hilfe von Luft mit hohem CO2-Gehalt in einen Rubezustand versetzt werden. Durch Variation der CO2-Gehalte kann die Fruktifikation beliebig unterdrückt bzw. hervorgerufen werden.
Die untersuchten vier Stämme zeigten unterschiedliche CO2-Empfindlickeiten. Eine vom Mycel gebildete und die Fruktifikation beeinflussende “Substanz X” wurde nicht gefunden.
